As a contemporary sculptor interested in pop and machine-made aesthetics, thrift stores are an endless sources of visual inspiration. There’s a thrift store on Queen St. East in Toronto, Canada, that I would visit frequently on my way home OCAD University.
I’m not sure exactly how I first began doing it, but I’ve literally taken thousands of the kind of images below - quick images taken for colour / shape reference, not at all concerned photographic composition. Am I the only one who does this? Let me know!
